Hero: Women’s Equality Coaltion
Hundreds of women took to the General Assembly on Monday, asking their elected officials to support Medicaid expansion, paid family and medical leave, and access to reproductive healthcare including abortion.
There are more women serving in the General Assembly than ever before, and a executive branch that is working to empower and support women. Women’s Lobby Day clearly showed: #WeHaveAnAgenda.
Zero: Conservative State Senators
Just days after hundreds of women lobbied the General Assembly, the conservative-led Senate voted down 3 abortion access bills, 3 Medicaid expansion bills, and 1 paid family leave bill.
So much for listening to your constituents.
