Kirk Cox aiming to bring his “No” agenda to the Governor’s Mansion

After years of obstructing Virginians’ priorities in the General Assembly, Delegate Kirk Cox has set his eyes on higher office. Progress Virginia executive director Anna Scholl released the following statement responding to Cox’s campaign announcement:

“Every time Virginians have asked for solutions, Kirk Cox has said no. The only thing that has distinguished him from other career politicians is his dedication to obstructing commonsense solutions. Cox blocked Medicaid expansion for years. He stonewalled gun violence prevention. He bottled up nondiscrimination protections for the LGBTQ community. He refused to pass student loan debt solutions and repeatedly refused to raise Virginia’s minimum wage. The only thing Virginians can count on with Kirk Cox is that he’ll say no to our families.”
