Former President Donald Trump has once again endorsed Republican candidate for Governor, Glenn Youngkin. In a statement released online, Donald Trump said that he and Youngkin “get along very well together and strongly believe in many of the same policies.” Do those policies they agree on include inciting an insurrection? What about ignoring the COVID-19 pandemic and allowing hundreds of thousands of Americans to die? 

“Trump has endorsed Glenn Youngkin once again, this time the day before Election Day. While Youngkin would have us believe he is nothing like Trump, it’s clear that they share the same policy goals, and if elected, Trump will be calling the shots here in Virginia behind the scenes,” Ashleigh Crocker, Communications Director at Progress Virginia, said. “We need a Governor who will listen to the needs of hardworking families and create a Commonwealth where all of us can thrive, not a Trump clone who will make life harder for everyone who is not a rich, white man. Youngkin is trying to hide that his extreme views are directly in line with Trump’s, but Virginia voters can see straight through his lies and will be voting against him tomorrow on Election Day.”
