Hero: Jane Doe

This week, Texas immigrant “Jane Doe” fought for her right to autonomy and won. From the beginning, this battle for an abortion was an attack on both women and immigrants—all the makings of a Donald Trump and Ed Gillespie daydream.

With help from the ACLU, Jane Doe stood her ground and received her abortion.
“People I don’t even know are trying to make me change my mind,” Doe said in a statement from the ACLU. “I made my decision and that is between me and God. Through all of this, I have never changed my mind.”

Zero: Ed Gillespie & Mike Pence

Ed Gillespie just can’t stop his dog-whistle campaign to scare and confuse voters. It’s pathetic, frustrating, and wrong. His latest ad implies that restoring voting rights to those who have served their time makes Virginia less safe. Um.

This is pretty clearly right out of Donald Trump’s own dog-whistle politics handbook.

Gillespie’s tactics don’t scare us, but they make us angry. We’re channeling that anger to get out the vote on November 7. Make your voice heard!
