Mobile Billboard To Hold Trump Accountable To Russia Ties In Newport News Today

Progress Virginia behind advertising demanding Trump come clean on Putin relationship

Newport News, Va. – A mobile billboard demanding answers regarding President Donald Trump’s ties to Russia and Vladimir Putin will circle the site of his speech in Newport News this afternoon. Progress Virginia, the commonwealth’s leading voice for progressive values, is sponsoring the billboard. The action comes only hours after revelations that Attorney General Jeff Sessions failed to disclose contacts with the Russian ambassador to Congress during his confirmation.

“Questions are swirling fast and furious regarding Trump’s ties to Russian oligarch Vladimir Putin,” said Progress Virginia executive director Anna Scholl. “Virginians and Americans are concerned: is our President serving our best interests or those of a foreign power? President Trump can easily put these questions to rest by releasing his taxes and clearing the way for an independent investigation into his ties and Russian meddling in the election. Virginians deserve a President who puts us and our families first, not his own business interests or those of a shadowy foreign leader.”

The truck will travel on Washington Avenue and Warwick Boulevard between 50th and 23rd Streets beginning at approximately 11am.
