HERO: Vickie is our Hero
Vickie wasn’t able to go to the doctor, even though she knew she was sick—because she didn’t have health insurance. When she was finally able to get Medicaid, she was able to focus on her health and her employment.
Healthcare shouldn’t be based on anyone’s income. People can get sick at anytime. It’s time to #ExpandMedicaidVA.
Thank you, Vickie, for being a voice for the 400,000 people in Virginia who need Medicaid expansion.
ZERO: Senator Siobhan Dunnavant
How does a doctor justify blocking healthcare for 400,000 people in Virginia? We’re not sure, but state Senator Siobhan Dunnavant is doing just that. On Tuesday, activists showed up at her office in Richmond to demand the Senator (and doctor) support Medicaid expansion in Virginia.
Dunnavant is voting against the interests and health of her constituents, her patients, and her neighbors by opposing Medicaid.
